This page explains, plainly, the small amount of data that's actually necessary to run this site and process a donation.

We don't run analytics, we don't track you across the web, and we don't sell or share your information with advertisers or data brokers — no exceptions. Browsing this site, reading our research, and exploring the library requires nothing from you; we don't know you were here.
The only time personal information is involved is when you make a donation. Donations are processed by Donorbox, which collects your name, email, billing address, and payment details to complete the transaction and issue your tax receipt. We never see or store your full card number — that's handled by Donorbox and its underlying payment processor under their own security standards. Donations do not go to the Type 1 Fund. The fund is a separate legal entity. Your donation data is governed by Donorbox's privacy policy as well as this one.
If you use our contact form, we receive your name, email, and message through FormSubmit, a form-delivery service that forwards submissions to our inbox. We use your message only to respond to you, and we don't add you to any marketing list.
If you submit a question through Office Hours, we receive your name, email, city/state, and question through FormSubmit — the same form-delivery service used by our contact form. Unlike the contact form, Office Hours questions may be answered in a video we publish publicly. If we feature your question, we may include your first name and city/state alongside it; we won't publish your email address or full location. If you'd rather stay fully anonymous, note that in your question and we'll honor it.
Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (IP address, browser type, access time) for security purposes — this is routine infrastructure behavior, not tracking we've added. We don't use cookies for advertising or analytics; the only cookies on this site come from Donorbox, whose donation scripts load on our pages so the Donate button and donation form work. Apart from those Donorbox scripts, all fonts and scripts are self-hosted, so your browser never pings Google, Adobe, or similar third-party networks just by visiting.
